Match Date: May 8, 2015
Tonight’s match went off without a hitch. The day was nice, a little warm, but not too warm but enough to make you sweat.
I ran home real quick and picked up my loving bride because she wanted to come along so we could go to a local diner for dinner. It’s become a tradition for us that after every steel match, we go to Red Squirrel. She sat back in the car away from the noise and smoke.
It’s really sweet that everyone asks about how she and the baby are doing. I always try to let them know and everyone seems as excited as us. I will need to make sure to let everyone know when the baby finally gets here 🙂
This week went well. Not as good as last week. I was a little slower then last time, but it still felt good. It was a lot of fun as usual. I think I was a little thrown off because I started on Stage 2 as opposed to 1, so my routine was off, but that’s ok. At least I got to play 🙂
Next week more of the same I hope. Enjoy the video below.
What I did wrong: Still need to work on my reloads. I also pushed too hard on Stage 2 on the first string. I didn’t realize it was more about cadence then speed on that one till string 2. I had a great run on String 2.
What I did Right: I had a great run on Stage 1. String 3 felt really good and went really blazing fast. Not Fast enough to get my overall time down. But that was the best string of all of them.
