Match Date: July 25, 2014
So this week it was nice and cool and NO RAIN! That was so nice! YAY! The stages were actually pretty easy this week and it went pretty quick.
This week I decided to change it up some and shoot my old reliable Sig Sauer P226. This is one I converted from .357 sig to .40 S&W. Since we ran out of projectiles for reloading, I needed to do something and decided to just have fun this week. This was also my son’s second week shooting steel. He had a great time again. He is doing so well. He is taking his time, placing his shots well and handling the stress of being under the timer well.
He had one little hiccup on Stage 2 this week. He had a malfunction, but he did everything exactly right. When it misfed, he strippped the mag and worked to clear the chamber and then replaced the mag and kept going. He did superb.
All in all, this was a fun week to shoot!
What I did wrong: Nothing. I decided to just have fun this week and not care.
What I did Right: I had fun! LOL That was my goal for this week.
